Through the years I have seen more and more pets with severe dental disease and there doesn’t seem to be any assistance available for those who need it. Treatment for pets with advanced dental disease can range from $800 to $1200 (or more at some hospitals), a very large cost that many families cannot afford to spend.
How the Animals in Need Fund Works
Millcreek Animal Hospital tries to help as many pets as possible by providing dental care to pets with advanced disease at a fixed cost to the owners and pay for the remaining cost of each pet’s dental care using a small fund we have obtained.
For example, if a dog’s care comes to $800, the owner pays $400 and the fund covers the other $400.
Throughout the year, we hold yard sales, craft sales, bake sales, and other fundraisers to help specific pets in need. However, with your help we can offer this support to even more pets in need throughout the year.
How You Can Help
The donations we need most are items like:
- Supplies (syringes, sutures, etc.)
- Medications (Propofol, metacam, carprofen, gabapentin, cephalexin)
- Monetary donations
The more donations our fund receives, the more pets we are able to help.
If you are interested in donating and would like to know more or coordinate a drop-off time, please call us at 801-731-0300.
