Associate Veterinarian
Veterinary Technician
Millcreek Animal Hospital in Ogden Utah is looking for a great, enthusiastic and personable person to join a veterinary team focused in high quality medicine, excellent client relations, and exceptional patient care. We are seeking someone who can learn and excel in multiple positions of the hospital and who will seek to help the veterinary hospital succeed. Veterinary Technician experience is preferred, but not required. All levels of experience are considered and compensation will be appropriate with experience, skills, knowledge, and education. Computer skills are a requirement.
Our purpose is to provide care for all the animals that are in need of our care. We want our patients to live the happiest, healthiest, pain-free life as possible.
Applicants must be available to work on any days and varied shifts. Must be available to work late when needed. WE STAY UNTIL THE WORK IS DONE. Saturdays are required.
The ideal person for this job would be a team player, personable, professional, upbeat, and energetic. Should be self-motivated, a quick thinker, able to multi-task efficiently, and have excellent communication skills and compassion.
Work requires continual attention to detail. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods of time while performing work requiring concentration and manual dexterity. Lifting (max. 50 lbs) and handling animals of varying sizes and species, bending, stooping, and walking on a daily basis.
Technician Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Obtain patient history
- Patient Physical exams and TPRs
- Venipuncture
- Placing intravenous catheters
- Perform radiographs
- Patient care including diagnostics, procedures and treatments
- Prepping patients for surgery
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Prepare prescriptions and communicate discharge orders to clients
Groomer
- Minimum (3 years experience required)
